Crimes against persons includes aggravated assault, simple assault, intimidation, human trafficking, kidnapping/abduction, murder, manslaughter, and sex offenses. Suppressing Crimes Against Persons is directly related to the Fort Worth Police Department’s mission to reduce the incidence and fear of crime.

In the past decade, Fort Worth has experienced an overall reduction in crimes against persons. In 2017, there were 15.42 crimes against persons per 1,000 population, which is slightly below the 15.5 target. The Fort Worth Police Department will continue to work toward reducing crimes against persons to achieve suppression targets.
